BOOKMAKING: Drafting the whole

with Ashley Warlick

What to Expect

This small group, yearlong workshop is designed for experienced prose writers who have a manuscript in progress and find themselves in need of structure, criticism and support in order to complete their projects. We will meet twice a month, virtually, for 3-hour sessions. Each student will have the opportunity to submit 15 pages of work 10 times over the course of the year, with individual conferences scheduled in July and December to provide specific, targeted guidance.

This one-year commitment offers an unprecedented opportunity for community and accountability, as well as direction. Students will finish the year with editorial line notes, response letters, and a clear map for the final draft of their book. Participation is renewable after the first year in quarterly increments.

This is an intimate, cohesive, and diverse group setting. It doesn't matter if you're working on your first project or your 50th, if this is a new goal or a recurring one. What matters is your commitment.
