READING LIKE A WRITER: HUMOR EDITION

Copy of ADVANCED FICTION WORKSHOP.png

Being funny is different than writing funny. How do you make the transition from telling a funny story to successfully incorporating humor into your writing? In this intensive course, you’ll study excerpts of humorous writing like you might read in McSweeney’s or Reductress and discuss the craft elements that make them work, such as structure, voice, and heightening. You’ll learn how to choose a subject and consider possible angles for approaching it.

Registration closes September 19, 2020.
